The brand

The name of each Goutal fragrance sounds like a novel title. It triggers images that open the imagination. Each fragrance tells a story that can be experienced on the skin and through the senses.

The legendary Eau d'Hadrien, the House's flagship fragrance, was inspired by the famous hills of Tuscany and the tribulations of the eponymous emperor, as recounted by Marguerite Yourcenar in her book Les Mémoires d'Hadrien.

Camille Goutal, daughter of Annick Goutal, and Isabelle Doyen now form a duo of unprecedented complicity. While retaining the values passed down by Annick Goutal, founder of the House, they share a taste for the same raw materials and draw inspiration from travel and moments of emotion to create unique fragrances with their expert hands.

Goutal fragrances reflect the emotions of the creator. Extremely refined, the fragrances are distinguished by the excellence of the raw materials used and by the feeling they express. The Goutal fragrance range is representative of the designer's values: authenticity, emotion, creativity and excellence.

Concerned about offering the most authentic raw materials and the most respectful products, the Maison Goutal is committed to following an environmental approach at every stage of its product development.

The juices are not coloured and contain only unprocessed raw materials. The bottles have been refillable since the creation of the House, and refills are available for candles, diffusers and washing gels. The cases are designed to minimize paper use. An ethic and an awareness that Goutal places at the heart of creation.

Founder, Annick Goutal

Once upon a time, there was Annick Goutal, a woman of intuition and emotions, one of those visionaries who go all the way to the end of their dreams. A child prodigy, she was destined for a career as a pianist. Very quickly, she rebels against this destiny imposed on her to become a model.

Her curiosity for perfumes then brought her to Grasse, where she met a man who would change her life and transmit a new passion to her: in 1979, she became a perfume designer. Her sensoriality, generosity and gift for composition are the signature assets of her unique and remarkable fragrances.

As always, what passes through her hands becomes a success, like her first creation, L'Eau d'Hadrien, composed in 1981 and which became an icon. The perfumer's organ is his new instrument. Perfume notes replace musical notes. His sensoriality, generosity and gift for composition are the signature assets of his unique and remarkable fragrances.
