A play on contrasts... notes respond to each other.

B683 and Ganymede, two enigmatic names, fragments of universes belonging to the same galaxy and recounting in their wake the inspirations of an artistic encounter between two young creators. One is a perfumer, the other is a couturier. Quentin Bisch and Marc-Antoine Barrois met in 2015, and an extraordinary creative complicity was immediately born. Childhood memories, shared values and the same love for beautiful materials as much as for respecting a certain sobriety brought them together around the challenge of defining and redefining new and timeless elegance. B683 is born in 2016. The name is inspired by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's Little Prince asteroid and by the date of birth of the couturier, which makes it his own imaginary planet. It is a fragrance that blends leather and spice in a subtle, powerful and racy refinement. Ganymede is being launched in 2019. It's still a leather, but like the planet it bears its name, it's a new elegance, fresh and mineral, just as timeless.

Concept

B683 is the result of the meeting of two young creators. One is a couturier, the other is a perfumer, and it was childhood memories that brought them together. Those bewitching scents of character; the leather of an elegant briefcase or an impeccable desk pad; and the woody and vegetal scents in reference to memories of warm homes as well as family walks in the forest. The artistic direction of the former and the olfactory talent of the latter have made the magic of this beautiful fragrance with spicy, leathery and woody accords.

Composed by perfumer Quentin Bisch, Ganymede reprises the leathery-dolly notes that made B683 a beautiful classic. But this time, they break free of traditional codes to take us elsewhere, towards a luminous and fluid elegance. They soften and gain in lightness and softness of touch when in contact with violet, while mandarin orange brings its full, tangy liveliness. It is the mandarin orange that sets the tone and verticality of the fragrance as soon as it takes flight, and facing it, the immortal tangerine becomes in counterpoint to enhance the harmony of its facets, sometimes mineral and sometimes salty.

The whole composition plays on contrasts and oppositions. The notes answer each other in a permanent dialogue to draw a new olfactory map on the skin, on the lapel of a cashmere jacket or there, near the buttonhole, just at the hollow of the wrist. If there had to be an image, it would be this one of the four cardinal points: in the north, we'd have the zesty vivacity of mandarin orange, which in the south, the immortal flower responds to, and, to underline the olfactory framework, the density of the leathery-soft notes. To the west is balanced by the floral delicacy of violet to the east. Four points for a perfume escape towards a new imagination and other codes of elegance.

the founder, Marc Antoine Barrois

Marc-Antoine Barrois is a French couturier from a family of textile industrialists from the North of France. Fascinated very early on by his grandfather's elegance, he seeks to return to the fundamentals of a luxury without ostentation and all delicacy. He therefore learns cutting and sewing at the same time as he studies textile engineering. In 2006, Marc-Antoine Barrois designed his first collections which he presented in Lille before joining the Dominique Sirop fashion house in Paris. At the end of this collaboration, he joined the Hermès fashion house alongside Jean-Paul Gaultier, then a year later Jean-Claude Jitrois decided to join his talent. These experiences, as prestigious as they were formative, forged a style that would soon become his signature. Since then, Marc-Antoine Barrois has taken over the reins of his fashion house and has multiplied projects and artistic collaborations. In 2013, he opened his first boutique on rue de Budapest in Paris, where he offers his jewellery and accessory creations as well as his couture collections for men. Defining his universe as a new constellation, he bets on a handcrafted luxury where service and conviviality are at the heart of the creative process. Marc-Antoine Barrois, offers a Haute-Couture service for men... and sometimes for women as well.
