Concept

Born in the 1970s, Molton Brown embodies creative freedom and anti-conformist ideas. They see things differently through an iconic lens on life to offer unexpected and powerful sensory moments.

To create unique fragrances, Molton Brown works hand in hand with visionary perfumers of various ages, backgrounds and experiences. From master perfumer Jacques Chabert and his daughter, the famous senior perfumer Carla Chabert, to rising stars of the new generation like Jérôme Di Marino, these bold creators are united by a founding vision: to offer unexpected fragrances with a personal touch.

All the fragrances are created without a marketing brief, a test panel or demographic restrictions. Only the human bond woven between the perfumer and the wearer persists.

founder, Jacques Chabert

The eminent master perfumer, Jacques Chabert, is the architect of Molton Brown's most emblematic collections. With 50 years of experience in the industry, he has an exquisite expertise in the world of perfumery. His olfactory repertoire includes the adventurous Re-charge Black Pepper and the Heavenly Gingerlily escape. As he says, fragrance is part of civilization.

Born in Grasse, the historic heart of perfumery, Jacques had a natural entry into the profession. Picking jasmine as a child, during the flowering summers, quickly evolved into a tutelage with an experienced perfumer. Always very innovative, Jacques has a world-renowned technique, a talent he has passed on to his daughter, senior perfumer Carla Chabert.

Looking at the world through multiple lenses, Jacques draws inspiration from international literature: "I can read an article about a composer, writer or painter, and it will give me ideas". For him, perfumery is an expression of self. Re-charge Black Pepper started as his own personal fragrance in 2001; today it has become a best-seller and is highly appreciated for its robust and spicy vigor.
