Sandalo perfume by Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella is a typically warm, woody and persistent monotonous oriental fragrance. It is inspired by the scent emanating from sandalwood, considered one of the most ancient and mystical perfumes. The sandalwood plant is native to India. The wood was used in the construction of Hindu temples and furniture to store ceremonial dresses or bridal trousseaux. It is also burned in sticks to perfume rooms. It is one of the trees of paradise for Buddhists, who claim that its wood was used to make the sun chariot. From the distillation of the wood is obtained the precious and fragrant essence that evokes a feeling of peace and serenity, relieves tension and predisposes to inner search. 

Santa Maria Novella packaging has been modified by the brand. We still have the old packaging, and new ones are arriving as they replace current stock. If you order online, you may receive one or the other packaging. However, the composition and scent of the Cologne or Parfum remain unchanged.
