AVA GARDNER AND THE GALION
When she met Paul Vacher, perfumer and owner of Le Galion, he was captivated and asked Ava to become the ambassador and muse of Sortilège, a perfume that evoked the extravagant parties of the time and became the olfactory signature of the high society of the '50s. Following the success of this collaboration, Ava Gardner asked Paul Vacher for a custom-made creation, created especially for her. The perfumer, who held feminine distinction in high esteem, gladly complied and composed the fragrance that would become L' ASTRE.
In 2022, Le Galion unveiled L'Astre to the public, a contemporary rewriting of a formula that had remained private for decades. Working in collaboration with the Ava Gardner Fund and her heirs who offered access to their archives, L'ASTRE captures and symbolizes the brilliance of these two great names of the 20th century, whose influence continues to this day.

The story
The exceptional fragrances that made the brand's heyday 30 years ago are being re-released, rare, high-quality creations, under the sign of elegance and distinction.
Today, once again, Les Parfums Le Galion wants to be the unique heritage of the founding perfumer. They are elaborated with the same care and know-how by small producers in Grasse who use natural raw materials and thus create the richness of the formulas due to the small volumes.
The glass of the bottle comes from the region of Murano, Italy. The packaging is made with the help of a centre for the disabled. These exceptional fragrances are part of the heritage of the House of Le Galion.
